A lot can be said about our comfortable Bed and Breakfast Jordaan in the centre of
Amsterdam. Yes, we received twice a 'Best of BedandBreakfast.com Award' but we
figure that an endless website would be as bothering as a talkative host.
So we've limited our site to an Availability Calendar & Reservation Form
and just one page below with compact information on the next topics:
 | Neighbourhood & House |
The Jordaan is a dense patch of small-scale streets and canals peppered
with interesting shops, galleries, charming 'hofjes' and inviting brown cafes.
Quirky and characterful, with an intimate, easy-going atmosphere of it's
own. It was built for workers at the same time as the Grachtengordel.
Our house was originally built by a master carpenter and his family and
later rebuilt by a printersfamily. The story is told by the old, picturesque
craftsmanship tile in our gable. It is a historic part of the Jordaan since
1663. When Bed and Breakfast Jordaan opened it's doors in 2001 it was skilfully
renovated with help of the Amsterdam Gable-sign Fund.
 | Situation & Accessibility |
All Amsterdam tourist sites as well as Central Station are at walking
distance but you can also reach them them by (alomost always) direct bus/tram
connections from bus/tramstop 'Marnixplein' 250 m. from our house.
With your invoice you will receive our 'How to get there...'-file for arrivals
by Public Transport, cab or car. It also includes information about parking,
parking facilities, how to get there (and back) and the prices.
 | Rooms & Prices |
We offer comfortable rooms in a traditional split-level building. Our rooms are on the ground level or first floor (just one
stairway up).
Every room is renovated in autumn 2008 when each received a new, private and en-suite bathroom. All rooms have a dining-table
for 2 or 4p, private coffee & tea facilities and free access to our WiFi-network (but do bring your own hardware).
|

| Triple room (3p): | 150 euro |
| Triple room + extra bed (4p): | 175 euro |
|
> These prices include breakfast, 6% VAT and exclude 12 EUR administration charges and 5% City Tourist Tax.
> Every room has space for an additional cot. So bring it along or reserve one in advance (price: 15 EUR/night, max:50 EUR)
> Restrictions: no smoking, pets or drugs.
> These prices are valid for any reservation completed before March 31st 2010.
We offer a Dutch Breakfast with local breads, cheeses, sausages, jams,
orange-juice etc. which will be served in the privacy of your room. If
you prefer cereals or a vegetarian breakfast please mention this in your
reservation request.
Your hosts Charlotte & Paul try to offer a good balance between privacy,
attention and help. We do speak several languages (English, French,
German, Dutch and a little Portuguese) and know our city well. We are looking
forward to share this knowledge with you.
 | A Renovated Award-winner |
We are proud to announce that we just received, for the second time, a 'Best of BedandBreakfast.com
Award'! This time we are labelled: 'Best of Holland, 09/10'.
We are truly proud to show both shields above because both Awards are based upon a
quantitative AND qualitative analysis of guest reviews (see the links underneath.)
We are especially happy with this New Award because it is exactly 1 year ago since we
re-opened after 11 months of renovating our entire B&B and private house. We kept the
traditional atmosphere while building brand new, en-suite bathrooms.
We're happy to see that our guests appreciate the result and, as the reviews reveal again,
appreciate our personal approach.
